There are many causes of respiratory and circulatory failure in pediatrics, which can evolve suddenly or gradually and, if not treated effectively in a timely manner, can lead to cardiorespiratory arrest.

Early intervention often depends on the probability of survival and this is only possible if those who witness the event are able to ensure appropriate procedures, in a timely manner.

In this sense, this course aims to be a contribution to increasing the number of citizens trained in this area. Goals: Acquire skills that allow you to correctly perform pediatric Basic Life Support maneuvers in situations of cardiorespiratory arrest. ▪ Understand the concept of chain of survival and know its links; ▪ Identify potential risks, both for the victim and the rescuer; ▪ Know how to correctly perform Basic Life Support maneuvers; ▪ Know how and when to start and stop Basic Life Support maneuvers; ▪ Know how to identify situations of airway obstruction due to a foreign body and perform clearance maneuvers.
