DESCRIPTION

Cardiovascular disease holds a leading position in Western countries in terms of morbidity and mortality in populations. Sudden death is often the first manifestation of this disease. Ventricular fibrillation is the most common mechanism of cardiac arrest (CA) of cardiac origin, and its only effective treatment is electrical defibrillation.

Goals

Acquire skills that will enable you to correctly perform CPR maneuvers using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on a victim in cardiac arrest.

Certification

  • Successful completion grants the trainee a Professional Training Certificate issued on the SIGO platform.
  • The issuance of the certificate on the mentioned platform allows the automatic accreditation of competencies in the trainee's Qualifica Passport.
  • INEM certificate.

15 Minutes – Presentation and Course Objectives

30 Minutes – Theory I – Basic Life Support for Adults

5 Minutes – Demonstration of the BLS Algorithm

55 Minutes – Practical Session I

20 Minutes – Theoretical II – Automated External Defibrillation / Special situations with AED.

25 Minutes – Workshop: AED Controls and Electrode Placement.

15 Minutes – Demonstration of the BLS Algorithm
