Goals: The intern will be able to carry out the duties of the Technical Operator provided for in article 10 of Decree-Law No. 227/2008: Operate the equipment, under the conditions defined by the qualified expert and qualified technician; Perform the tasks defined by the qualified expert and qualified technician. Duration: 19 hours Target Audience: Technicians who carry out professional activities in which they are exposed to ionizing radiation in the industrial (non-medical) area, who intend to obtain qualification Level III – “Operator Technician” as provided for in article 3 of Decree-Law no. 227/2008, of November 25th. Certification: Successful completion grants the trainee a Professional Training Certificate issued on the SIGO platform. The issuance of the certificate on the aforementioned platform allows the automatic crediting of skills to the trainee's Qualifica Passport. A certificate of attendance and completion of the course in Radiological Protection and Safety will be issued in accordance with Decree-Law No. 227/20008 of November 25th. Start date: To be announced Value: €490 (VAT exempt) Regime: E-Learning Modules Module 1 - Regulatory and Normative Provisions National legislation; Normative provisions applied to sources of ionizing radiation; Organization of Radioprotection in Services; Organization of Radioprotection in Services Module 2 - Organization of Radioprotection in Services Role of the holder; Role of the person responsible for radioprotection at the facility. Module 3 - General Technical Principles Electromagnetic radiation; corpuscular radiation; Interaction of radiation with matter; Quantities and units used in radioprotection; Monitoring of ionizing radiation; Biological action of radiation on living organisms; Radiation protection; Inventory of exhibitions for humans; Main applications of ionizing radiation. Module 4 - Use of sealed sources and X-radiation devices Technologies using sealed sources or X-radiation; Operation of equipment and facilities; Analysis of the risks linked to the use of sealed radioactive sources; Analysis of the risks linked to the use of X-radiation sources; Equipment acceptability tests and tolerance limits; Storage, transportation and replacement of the source in the case of a device containing sealed radioactive sources; Emergency procedures; Study of some typical cases, illustrating the role of the professional responsible for the radiological safety of the installation.
